| Comments: |
given rain over the course of the hike the trail became increasingly wet. some minor mud down low then wet rock and slippery roots in the steeper parts of the trail. a bit of a car wash in effect in sections along the summit plateau and between the two summits.
headed over to nesowadnehunk early from south branch hoping to hit the summit before everything socked in. didn't quite make it time, but had some interesting fleeting views as clouds blew through the valley and over the summit. the higher peaks to the east were all capped in clouds, but there were some nice looks to their lower slopes and down to the slide dam area. will have to get up there again on a clear day. a nice hike to cap off a couple of days in maine.
