Comments
Comments: time to re familiarize with some trails so started with Speck Pond and really enjoyed it...not too steep and great views today to the west towards the Kilkenny Range and into northern Maine and also to the east and south from Mahoosuc Arm area...only mts in clouds were the summits of the Presis...4 AT section hikers used the Speck Pond campsite overnite..on the way out took a skid road down near where the "sharp turn" is and came to the gravel road and walked out on it...one can drive to the log landing on the end of the gravel road, and it looks to be a short wack maybe up to ledgy knobs of Mahoosuc Mt...that could be an interesting one for intrepid bushwackers...
