Comments
Comments: The Western Grafton Loop is an amazing trail. Super well-constructed with easy grades, terrific rock work, bridges, ladders, and switchbacks. It was exceedingly dry though and most of the streams were dry. Sargent brook campsite was dry. Slide brook had a small stream running that crosses the trail and Bull Run was also running. Be careful if you are planning the whole loop anytime soon. We were, but bailed after East Baldpate. The cumulative elevation gain does add up combined with the uncertainty about water on the other side.
