 | Comments: |
Park Loop Road was packed out by snowmobiles. Brief section of Kebo Mountain Trail connecting to Cadillac North Ridge Trail was broken out. Lower Cadillac North Ridge Trail had deviating snowshoe and ski tracks and was hard to follow. Probably 2 feet of snowpack. Above first switchback, I popped onto the auto road to save time/have less navigational issues in the dark. Well packed out by snowmobiles, skis, and fat bikes.
Cold but nice sunrise from the summit. Lots of ice above treeline.
Descended the top of North Ridge, but again found navigation tricky. Also a bit icy above tree line in places. Opted to hop back onto auto road at upper switchback, then retraced steps. |
