| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blowdowns have been cleared from the Mahoosuc Notch all the way to past Dream Lake. Excellent trail work getting those off trail. There are quite a few blowdowns north of Cascade Mtn. but if you pay attention you will easily stay on trail through the blowdown patches. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Plenty of water for dogs along this route. Stretches of this trail are extremely rough so it's only for experienced trail doggies |

Down low the mosquitoes are vicious! |

Great day along the Mahoosuc Range with Kyle. Enjoyed the rough footing and roller coaster up and downs throughout the day. The Mahoosuc Notch is a lot of fun to navigate through, if you like King Ravine's Subway and Ice Caves you'll like this part as it's longer but not as strenuous. The footing for the first fifteen miles is rugged, steep in spots, and slick mixture of boulders and slab. The trail does get a bit narrow and overgrown in spots past Mount Success over to Cascade Mountain. Blowdowns patches are on the trail through this part in spots as well, worst is just north of Cascade Mountain. |
