Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked here: 44°45.505'N, 70°46.587'W Elephant Mtn Rd has no sign at the start but is just after Clearwater Brook if heading west on South Arm Rd. The road was rough in a few places and had a couple high culverts to get over that might be a problem with a car. My Rav4 handled everything fine

Comments
Comments: Followed the logging road the cairn and went into the woods on the herd path. Stayed on it for a while (some small cairns), but eventually lost it after a possible split where the path seemed to peter out in both directions. Bushwhacked straight to the summit mostly though some very thick stuff (bad route). At the summit I tried following a path down, but lost that too. Picked a better route back to the last place I knew I was on a herd path headed up. A moose spent lots of time at the summit area and it is literally a field of moose poop up there
