| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Almost exactly halfway between Rangeley and Stratton (9.6 miles from Rt. 4 and 9.2 from Rt. 27), turn onto an unmarked dirt road that almost immediately crosses a bridge. From there, follow a series of logging roads to an elevation of about 2600 and a point where the main road turn sharply back to the left. Easily driven with care by a low clearance vehicle |

| Comments: |
From the point where we parked, we followed the logging road straight ahead to a boundary line marked by a yellow post on the right and a very well defined herd path leading uphill and back to the left, also marked by yellow blazing. Before the boundary line there a a couple of jct's that look like they could be the route-it may seem obvious but always angle left and up. At the 2nd one we built a small cairn as the right, more level route, seemed more traveled. We followed the boundary line to about 3300' where it started leveling out and headed up to the ridge. We soon hit a herd path that led up to the summit. All in all, a very easy route. |
