Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossings small but quite swollen from the rain.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail has a reroute that is rooty and muddy. Don't recall seeing blowdowns. Serious erosion upper part of Marston. In the rain that part of the trail was a pretty deep brook!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No dogs allowed
Bugs
Bugs: Bugs ARE allowed but it was too rainy for them to accompany us. They were around the summit of Fort. Black flies mostly.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We lost our enthusiasm on this hike (11 miles in steady rain'll do that to you).

Comments
Comments: Occasional showers predicted turned into a day of rain but we got it done. The soaking usually received on the bushwhack didn't faze us as we were all soaked to the bone. Rain stopped just long enough for us to enjoy lunch on the summit of Fort.
