| Comments: |
A good Halloween loop. Blue skies and perfect hiking temps. Spots of mud that were only challenging because they hiding under leaves. Lots on leaf cover on both trails. The usual mud pit in the col at the Mud brook and Caribou junction, no easy way around you just have to plow through. A bit of running water while heading down Caribou. Water at crossings on Caribou was flowing high so necessary to cross on submerged rock in a few places - but not slick. A few minor spots of ice up higher that can easily be avoided. Several groups out on the trail today. Make sure and stop and admire the many waterfalls on the Caribou trail. |
