2/21 party of 8 hiked Abol bridge to roaring Brook. Tote road in good shape. 2/22 to Chimney pond used micro spikes.
Winter rt open. Basin ponds solid Rangers crossing with snowmobiles.
2/23 8 hiked up Hamlin ridge trail,bottom had been broken.Group in snowshoes to ridge switched to full crampons.
To Hamlin peak over to Baxter peak. Windy full face masks & Goggles. Tableland very icy.Return same RT.
That evening Ranger advised us of poor weather coming in snow then rain.2/24 the group hiked out in mostly cold rain/sleet. Basin pond still in good shape,tote road good easy slide with sleds.Heavy rain in Millinocket That Nite unsure of conditions now.
