Comments: Abol reloc./Abol Slide via Abol Bridge

Abol stream tr. and tote road hard-packed from snowmobile traffic with a few bare patches of gravel. Definitely skiable if you want to go up Abol Hill in skis... Abol Trail was visibly broken from traffic before 1-2" of fresh snow. Hard crust beneath, easy for bare boots. Crampons used for the relocated Abol trail below treeline, then bare boots for the remainder of the steep slope to the tableland. Mostly bare rock, though I used an ice axe near the end. Tablelands are very icy, crampons recommended.

Temps were 15-20°F, cooler near the top. Winds calm below tablelands, windy enough for goggles above. Snow began to fall as we entered treeline. Descended via the Abol Slide. A few unstable rocks here and there, as well as some suspended dirt/gravel, perhaps from frost heaving? We stuck to the edges for security.
