| Comments: |
A spur-of-the-moment decision while driving route 2 in Shelburne, NH took me to Mt. Blue, which was #31 on the New England 50 Finest. The trail was only 1.7 miles one way, but the short length is deceiving- there is 1,850 ft. of elevation gain in that 1.7 miles. The summit had a fire tower, but I could only go about halfway up it. The view from the topmost deck was still great, and the views from the summit outcroppings were even better. The dark sky made for a neat scene, as well.
19 to go! |
