Pretty amazing trail that is over-looked probably because of how remote it is. For whatever reason it's recommended to go counterclockwise, but we found the loose rock coming down North Traveler to be tedious and a bit dangerous in spots. I would have rather ascended that part anyway. Awesome views over a good chunk of this loop, but no water (a spring is listed at the Pogy/N Traveler junction, but it isn't signed at the location). Labor Day weekend Sunday saw 19 people use this trail, so if solitude is what you seek, this is a strong candidate. |
