Comments
Comments: First ascent of Saddleback in 19 years. Trail started out dry, but after Ethel Pond, it became very wet. Water running down trail, rocks wet. A couple of the stream crossings needed some thought to hop from rock to rock. Exposed bedrock just below treeline wet and slippery. A few small patches of snow in shaded areas, but these were a novelty rather than a problem. Met a lot of people going to Piazza Rock on my way back to the parking area, some with adult beverages in hand.
