Great full winter conditions! Evident mono on the uphill access corridor along ski slopes. I kept snowshoes on for the entire ascent. Spikes would have been better above tree line but the wind and blowing snow made changing impossible. Retreated back to warming hut to wait for the forecasted break in the weather, tried again and another band of snow rolled in, so I decided to bail. Nice quiet day on the mountain, ran into Frosty and Magoo! Wonderful folks!
The Horn will have to wait for another time |
