We snowshoed up the Tote Road ski trail. Lots of spring snow, ice and water. Snowshoes gave good grip and kept us on top of the snow. We passed a postholing/slipping snowboarder and a guy skinning up the trail. I carried my skis on my backpack. Half way up the mountain we could see the rain coming at us. We summited and then stood in the doorway of the old tram house and wished that the rain would stop. We decided to skip attempting Spaulding since the weather was miserable. Fun quick ski back down. |
