After finishing the Horns I wasn't quite ready to return to the real world, so I stopped at Sugarloaf. Hiking ski trails isn't hiking in the Bigelows, but Sugarloaf does have some things that are convenient - it's easy to get to, there's plenty of parking, there are public bathrooms(that are clean!), and it's pretty much a continual view hike. On the down side, hiking down ski trails is not your knees' best friend. Also not much shade, so bring sunscreen. |
