Rapid River Rd is rough, but my sedan made it at 5 - 10 mph all the way to the trailhead, no problem. Parking for maybe 6-10 vehicles. Get there early, it fills up. |

Only the first was any real problem, and it wasn't really a big deal. |

I thought that since it was 39 degrees when I started (WTF?) maybe the bugs would give it a rest, but no. |

This is a great hike. Climbing the talus field is neat, and the views are fantastic. Shelter needs a little TLC. Beautiful day, if a bit chilly in the morning. |
