Comments
Comments: Let me just announce my disdain for the Firewardens Trail. Maybe it was the pack, maybe it was the never ending stairs. Other than that, it was a fantastic, yet bittersweet trip. Stayed on an awesome platform at Avery Col. You need a scoop for the water at the campsite, but it is more than what is available at the site on the AT. Did an early ascent up Avery for #66. Was greeted by clear blue skies and under cast. After packing up, I ascended West Peak with Ilse and Scott. They gave me the royal treatment for #67. We completed the loop through Horns Pond. You would do much better with a water scoop here as well. I am so sad that this journey is over. I am eternally grateful to Ilse and Scott for making this such an amazing ending. Already planning a trip back. I love Maine so much.
