| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We drove in from Lily Bay road on the network of roads that runs in towards Baker, north of Prong Pond Mtn. We stayed on the main drag and drove in for a few miles towards the peak, as far as we were comfortable. We pulled bryan's car off on the road side.
My car stayed in road side parking at #4 tr. Roads were manageable for a small car on both approaches. |

| Comments: |
We made the long trail walk over #4 and to the main peak of Baker. Trails were easy to follow. The highpoint is still recognized on Baker and bryan took the time to remount.
From Baker, we followed some flagging, that we presumed is associated with a proposed hiking trail along the ridge. The flags followed a footbed in places and went through tight woods in others. At times we lost the flagging and bushwhacked on heading, always regaining it. We hit some minor thick woods coming off of the main peak and heading for the middle. Otherwise woods was fairly good along the ridge. The flagged route went right over recognized summit of middle and continued along the ridge. We followed it off and on to the recognized summit of south. From there, we bushwhacked down towards the road, avoiding tight woods and having easy going off the peak. Good hike with four peaks and just over ten miles of walking. |
