Comments
Comments: Fully expected to have to break trail the whole way but was pleasantly surprised to find the trail completely broken from bottom to top. Kudos to the person or persons who broke this out for in addition to the snow on the ground, the snow clinging to the tree trunks hid very well the faded white blazes; route finding would have been equally as hard as breaking trail. As it was, it took me longer to drive to the trailhead from southern VT than it took to complete the hike. A little drifting up high, which despite light winds had actually started to fill on my descent. The spur trail to the tower was more like a bushwhack, the snow depth having pushed the trail up into the heavily snow laden trees. Unfortunately, despite a sunny start, there were no views. Passed quite a number of groups on my descent, further consolidating a very solid base.
