Getting up to Saddleback is the easy part just follow the red signs for Uphill Access. Near the top there is a shelter that you can change or refuel if needed. Getting over to the horn is a little trickier. There is still a lot of snow and we had a lot of clouds/fog to contend with so finding the white AT markers on the rock was difficult. But if it is a clear day you will be able to sight the Horn and just follow the cairns as best you can to get over to it. Be aware the valley in between the peaks is full of trees that you will have to get through. Would highly recommend snowshoes for this section. |
