Do this counter-clock wise, for reasons I'll get to. Enter at the first sign. Woodsy, pretty wild flowers. Glimpses of the pond. When the trail bends, you will come to more open areas. Right after the bridge there will be a stone bench. Sit down and enjoy the view of the Baldies. Lots of wild life when we were there; beaver swimming and slapping his tail loudly, loons, some geese. When you come out of the woods you will be on the airstrip; very pretty walk through trees, wildflowers, and great views of the Baldies. If you had gone clockwise, you'd have to look over your shoulder for the views. |
