| Comments: |
Looking for a spring hike? Look no further. The condition of these trails was excellent. I encountered no blowdowns, very little mud or water, and great views from the top of Blueberry Mountain. There were several dogs on the trail as well. However, the bugs are starting to come out and there were sections of hiking through bug clouds.
One word of caution: the turnoff to Shell Pond from the roadway may not be obvious. Walk down the landing strip for the airport (parallel to the house with the private property sign) and the trail pathway resumes before heading into the woods. |
