| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Most website still don't report on the relatively new parking situation. There is a parking lot before the bible camp (on the left). Park there. There is a sign indicating that you are on the correct trail beyond the far end of the parking lot. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
So. Many. Blowdowns. There were around 4-6 significant blowdowns, and several smaller ones as well. Somebody needs to grab their chainsaw, then grab a friend, then grab their friends chainsaw, and get to work. All blowdowns are currently passable with care, but a big part of that is that people have cut new herd paths around the blowdowns. Also, the signs that were posted a couple years ago are mostly disintegrated (paper). |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The wet sections near the bible camp have some oil in the standing water. Don't let your dog drink it. There is no other water on the trail. Bring all that they need. |
|
| Bugs: |
Pretty light for this time of year, just some gnats down hanging out around the lower half. |

Our first time on this trail. It is stepper that it looks on paper. It gains 1300' in 0.9 miles (there are flat sections at the beginning and summit. Once you get up into the spruce forest it's a really lovely trail... where it isn't buried under blowdowns. Some leaves make the first half of the ascent a little slick, watch your footing. Please note the new parking situation. |
