All water crossings were easy. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
These trails are in great shape. The only noteworthy mention is that when ascending Eyebrow Trail, it is easy to miss the junction with Old Speck Trail. There is signage, but it is visible only from the other directions. If you miss the juncture, you’ll find yourself descending the Old Speck Trail, instead of turning right to continue to ascend. This happened to at least a few people. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a few with their humans. |
| Bugs: |
Black flies all over, including atop the fire tower. If you keep moving, you can dodge most of them. Once you stop, it’s bug net time. |
| Lost and Found: |
There is a flannel long sleeve shirt hanging trailside about 1/2 mile from the bottom of the Old Speck Trail. |
