Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking was easy at 7:30am. Some potholes on the dirt road leading to the parking area, but even a small car should be able to navigate the road.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings could be rock hopped. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blow downs that need to be stepped over or ducked under, but otherwise, all was good.

Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes in the AM and black flies in the afternoon. Fortunately there was a good breeze that kept them at bay. The bug net was handy for stops and on parts of the Horns Pond Trail.

Comments
Comments: This is a spectacular loop hike—one of my favorites in New England so far. We did it in 8.5 hours with at least an hour spent on summits and other stops. No snow left anywhere. Varying degrees on mud scattered about, as you would expect.
