| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
One car at end of Caribou Pond Road at 6AM and 4 in all at 5PM. Road is in good shape but a little rough. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
"walk the plank" on the South Branch of the Carrabassett River, a few other small brooks were easy rock hops. Some of the mud pits were difficult to cross without getting wet and muddy boots. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blowdowns were cleared recently as evidenced by the sawdust but there must have been some wind since that brought down some more trees. Some sections need branches trimmed. |

Some black flies in the Spaulding Mt. area. |

Another very nice day with temps from 45 to 75 and clear sunny sky with a light breeze at times. Saw 10 hikers and 1 moose. |
