Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: One car at end of Caribou Pond Road at 6AM and 4 in all at 5PM. Road is in good shape but a little rough.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: "walk the plank" on the South Branch of the Carrabassett River, a few other small brooks were easy rock hops. Some of the mud pits were difficult to cross without getting wet and muddy boots. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blowdowns were cleared recently as evidenced by the sawdust but there must have been some wind since that brought down some more trees. Some sections need branches trimmed.

Bugs: Some black flies in the Spaulding Mt. area.

Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments: Another very nice day with temps from 45 to 75 and clear sunny sky with a light breeze at times. Saw 10 hikers and 1 moose.
