Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I drove in Katahdin Iron Works Road from Rt. 11 in Brownville for just under six miles. (no fee as I didn't enter KIW). I turned onto Merther road (no sign) and followed it along the south slope of the peak for about 4.5 miles. It took care, but was totally doable in a small car.

Comments
Comments: I bushwhacked up from the south/south east. Lower woods were cuts and hardwood regrowth. Upper woods alternated between tight and more open, but never very bad. I pushed out on several point on the ridge for very nice views north to White Cap/surrounding peaks, Baxter, Spencers, Jo Mary, etc. The highpoint is recognized.
