Comments
Comments: Trail starts steeply to rock slabs.... slabs very cool with a lot of quartz in it... amazing views reaching the summit. Past the summit on the Saddleback Wind trail a lot of bear scat all over the place, they’ve been feasting on blueberry’s lol. Awesome view of Saddleback Wind Mountain as you descend the backside of Bald Mountain. Goes down a ways to the col, then starts up Saddleback Wind gradually with a nice forest to more open spots towards the summit. Once at the summit the views are spectacular... can see Mt. Washington along with so many mountains with a 360 view. Wind turbines kinda cool too on the ridge... had summit to myself for awhile and headed back over to Bald Mountain. I did not check out the east ridge trail near Saddleback Wind summit, I’ll save that for another day. I noticed back on Bald Mountain I could see all the way to Mt. Katahdin.... awesome 5.86 mile out & back hike.
