Parking/Access Road Notes: Unclear...we parked in a gravel lot a hundred yards or so east of the gated entrance, both of which are a couple of hundred yards east of Zircon Brook.

Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes, black flies, and deer flies on the access road portion in the morning. Otherwise, not too bad.

Comments
Comments: The gated access road was fairly bland. Generally decent footing, except for some loose stuff were the ATVs join in.

The trail proper was mostly dry, but the ledges above the col would be pretty slippery if wet.

Multiple good viewpoints from the ledgy summit (old fire tower knocked over) and many blueberries.
