Hiked up the ski trails (6 hikers). We wore snowshoes from start to finish, mostly for the heel lifts (2 started out bare booting). it was blue sky and sunny until we got to The Horn, but very windy/cold. The trail had been broken and was easy to follow. The clouds came in on our way back, by the time we reached Saddleback again, we were in clouds. There's a layer of ice under the powder on parts of ski trails. Trail is in good shape and we made good time. |
