It was hard to follow the trail in places in between the peaks. Specifically, finding the tunnels through the trees lining the col. We did manage though. Slight detour to the Berry Pickers Trail, then back on track to the AT. We picked the correct track on the way back. The trees are covered with super heavy ice and snow. They look like snow hoodoos. Overall, an outstanding day out. Was bluebird clear and looked like over 100 miles visibility. COLD though! |
