Some tricky jumps over small drainage streams from and onto steep snow banks |

Deep snow at the higher altitudes left us hiking through the tree branches in places |

We looped counter clockwise and followed the tracks of a single hiker who may have been wearing crampons. We found snowshoes to be much more effective after we left the frozen granular surface at about 1600 feet. |
