| Comments: |
Mount Blue Road is a snowmobile trail in the winter. It was groomed and wide. We only saw two snowmobiles. The road walk added 2.5 miles in each direction. The Mount Blue trail was packed by snowmobiles to within 2/10 of a mile from the top. We followed some postholes the rest of the way. The snow had softened at some point and then refrozen. We wore MICROspikes the whole way. The snowshoes stayed on our packs. The only hikers we saw were the dog owners who were hanging out at the shelter next to the trail head. |
