Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: parking along Rt. 16 has room for quite a few vehicles..if full, there's an old woodyard before the trailhead where there's plenty of parking..

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes: just two crossings of significance stepped on rocks to cross over,,,

Dog-Related Notes: saw one German Shorthair "Morris" who was very well behaved..

Bugs: terrible down low, not really biting but swarming in eyes ears nose and mouth...

Comments: Awesome views from this mountain near the NH border..360 degree more or less with Stratton and Rangeley mountains, Mahoosucs, Moriah/Carters/Wildcats, Northern Presis and Washington, Pliny and Pilot ranges and Magalloway etc...running stream channel about half way up then some snow, deep in places..stable early, less stable around noon or so..
