|Date of Hike:
||Sunday, May 31, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Large dirt skirt off ME 156 is dry and firm. Can hold 20 cars. |
||Dry Trail |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||The Brook just past the trailhead is rock hoppable. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||One big blow down at the start of Step I. Carins at the summit knocked over? There were some piles where I remembered a carin to be. Well maintained trail by volunteers. Excellent blazing. |
||Good trail for dogs. It is dry so bring water. |
||Ha! Not today! |
|Lost and Found:
||Got off work early, grabbed the kids and took off to the mountain. Quick, quad burning hike up a well travelled local favorite peak. Lots of people out today, but well spaced out. Owners had good control of dogs even though they were all friendly. Such a fun hike if you only have an hour to take on a 3000 foot peak.|
No snow. Tennis shoes would be fine.
One Massachusetts plate in parking area. Rest were Maine plates.
