| Comments: |
I saw only four other hikers on the Wright Trail and four other hikers on Goose Eye East Peak who came up from Success Pond Road.
The Wright Trail follows along Goose Eye Brook with small cascades and pools up to the MBPL tentsite. Thereafter the trail climbs to the ridge and over ledges with great views. These ledges may be difficult if wet or icy. Some muddy spots on the upper section of the Wright Trail with ineffective bog bridges. The views from both Goose Eye summit were limited due to cloudiness. I lingered long enough to see the Kilkenny Ridge, Percy Peaks, and the mountains around Grafton Notch. |
