|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Katahdin - Baxter Peak, ME|
||Hunt Trail, Saddle Trail, Baxter Peak Cutoff, Hunt Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Tuesday, September 8, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||We got to the Katahdin Stream Campground parking lot around 6:30am on Tuesday after camping in BSP the night before. No reservation required, if you are camping in the park the night before. The Ranger just told us to get to the parking lot before 7am the day we want to hike. |
||Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
|Lost and Found:
||Trail was very well marked and easy to follow, even on the boulders above treeline. There is an outhouse around the 1.1 mile mark or so on the Hunt Trail.|
Unfortunately, no views for us today, as the summit was socked in the clouds. The clouds/fog made the rocks slippery.
