Strange story: Our group was hiking near the lower end of the Cold Brook Trail when my friend felt her glasses being pulled from her pocket. She assumed it was done by a branch, but when she bent down to pick them up, they weren't there. Even stranger, there were no branches or bushes nearby that she could have brushed up against. We searched the entire area for a while, but could not find the glasses. |

| Comments: |
Today felt more like a summer day for our hike over Durgin and Speckled. We made a loop over the two peaks and I used a snowmobile trail to connect the trailheads. The trails were in good shape, but the leaves were quite slippery in spots. It was a bit hazy, but the views were still great, especially from the Cold Brook Trail. |
