Comments
Comments: My second hike today was up Tumbledown Dick Mountain, also in Gilead. This mountain is on the piece of property which Mahoosuc Land Trust hopes to buy, and in the future there could be some great trails on this and nearby mountains, but for now there are no official trails.

I parked at the spot marked on the map as "Landing and Mt. View." The road was a bit rough, but solid and was not an issue with high clearance.

For the first 1/3 mile or so, there was a rather obvious path, but that dwindled to a herd path which eventually vanished. After the path vanished it was mostly bushwhacking to the summit and a viewpoint just past it, although I did find a number of cairns in the woods and sections which might have been a herd path. The ledges offered excellent views to the east and separate sets offered views to the south and west.
