Got permission to park at the Evergreen Valley Inn. The gravel road that becomes the trail has a rope across it and a sign prohibiting motorized vehicles. Had to duck under the rope. |

1 large duck-under shortly before summit. Easy to pass now, but will need to be reckoned with once the snow pack starts building. |

Plenty of water and no significant obstacles make this a great hike for dogs. |

Everything is damp. We got light rain showers while ascending, then got light snow at the summit. We weren't really in the clouds much, just surrounded by them. We did manage to find a couple neat views. The descent was a little tedious given the extensive wet rock slabs. Expect tomorrow to be black ice hell... |
