| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
With the snow last weekend, CVR was not an option. On our exit, Snow Cats were at the gate, prepping the bridge and had just groomed the road. We parked at the Sugarloaf Golf Club and started from there. |

| Comments: |
The original plan from the prior weekend (postponed due to the snow storm) was to hike all six peaks in Carrabassett Valley. We optimistically kept to that plan but it was very apparent early on that was far too ambitious of a day with the amount of snow. The three of us broke trail in 12 - 18 inches of snow for 14 of the 16 miles. We went up the AT to S Crocker and then out-and-back to North, bushwhacked to Redington and finished the day walking the roads back to the golf course. It was a long, hard day for the first snow shoe hike of the season. |
