A beautiful, cold, blue bird day. We walked the road for 1.5 miles to Stratton Brook Pond and then the short distance to the bridge. The road was well packed and a quick walk. The trail was also well packed with a nice snow shoe track. The upper sections above Moose Falls Campground were snow filled from the wind but easy to break. I’m sure it will be filled again with the winds today. With FB slow zero temps and 35ish mph winds we didn’t stay long on either summit. |
