Comments
Comments: Today's first hike, Pleasant Pond Mountain! I was able to make it all the way to the parking area off the Pleasant Pond Road without issue. On the way up, I took the spurs to visit the lean-to and the beach on Pleasant Pond. The trail had some minor areas of mud and snow, but nothing too significant. I took the shortcut while ascending which includes a fun scramble section.

It took under an hour to reach the summit and there were lots of great viewpoints to explore. The best ones are about 0.1 mile east of the summit along the AT. There were great views from The High Peaks region, all the way to Katahdin. While descending, I followed the AT the whole way, which was a little longer, but less steep.
