Trail was mostly dry.
Hadn't been here in about a dozen years. Fun, rugged trail with excellent views from the summit area. I also took the woods road down to the top of the defunct ski area. It's a fairly significant descent, but there is an excellent viewpoint along the way (looking toward Mt. Washington and Pleasant Mountain).
Nice afternoon with crisp air and enough of a breeze to keep the bugs at bay. First sighting of lady slipper and wild columbine. |
