$5 fee to park. I was the only car when I started and the only car when I finished. Did not see anyone else all day. |

All crossings were insignificant. A couple of rocks at worst. Mostly just step-overs. |

1 blowdown on the section of Bickford Brook Trail that is done at both the beginning and end. Just walk around it. |

I did this loop in the counter-clockwise direction. This put the harder sections first thing so I got them over with. These are on the section of Blueberry Ridge trail that is west of the Blueberry Mtn summit. If you prefer to have easier hiking going up and don't mind steep downhills then do the loop clockwise. The 'lookout loop' at the top of Blueberry was worth doing for the views. Great views from the section of Blueberry Ridge trail north of the summit at several locations. Good views to the North from the summit of Speckled. Bickford Brook trail is entirely in the trees with no views at all. Trail conditions were all good. No problems noted at all. |
