Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Success Pond Road seems to get bumpier and washboard each time up that way; parking at Goose Eye/Carlo Trailhead getting a little overgrown, though sawed up overhangers last trip; 4 vehicles parked up the trail and little with 4 in the lot and 2 on Success Pond Road.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Carlo Col has a few, which were easily done with rock hopping; water levels low; Carlo Col Shelter water source running low.. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: this was a trail maintenance hike; removed some blowdowns; one large birch fell lengthwise into trail but room to walk on the side of it; trail is in pretty good shape, due to adopter's effort, Paul.

Bugs: just bothersome at Carlo summit and when stopped down low; mainly black flies..

Comments: met Jack from Littleton heading up to do a Goose Eye, Mahoosuc to Notch Trail down to Success Pond Road hike; nice morning to start off, cool and clear; met 10 other hikers including a group of young ladies doing the Carlo/Goose Eye loop; hope you enjoyed!! Trails are in pretty good shape...
