at the trailhead i met Keith E who was going to do trail maintenance up carlo col. he said we met on owls head in winter which was 8 years ago. i remember the hike, but not him. nice guy, and i think i will remember him next time. the hike itself was very tough and very satisfying. beautiful day and scenery. i only saw 8 other hikers all day. the real tough part was the looooong walk along success pond road! the bushwack to fulling mill was relatively tame though. overall i want to say that this is now a most favored hike! |
