Comments
Comments: Hiked up the Firewarden's Trail from Stratton Brook TH for an overnight at Bigelow Col. The trail was in good shape, only one blowdown area that required crawling under two trees. The last mile stretch on the Firewarden's Trail from Moose Falls campsite to Avery Memorial campsite is tough with lots of rock staircases, but footing is pretty good with all the rock staircase work that was done. At the Avery campsite there were about 3 people staying overnight. There are a handful of tent platforms to choose from. The spring by the caretaker/firewarden's cabin is dry so we had to hike up Avery a little ways to that spring for water.
